A film that explores the growing popularity of home funerals in America, A Family Undertaking follows several families as they forego a typical mortuary funeral and care for their loved ones at home.

A Family Undertaking aired on the acclaimed PBS series POV in August, 2004 with a coordinated broadcast of a radio adaptation on Public Radio International. The film premiered at the Silverdocs Documentary Film Festival and has screened throughout the United States.
